20/07/2026:
* No Update of Medals. This is solely an (exciting) update of some of the features available on Medal Marketplace (MM).
* The MOST exciting addition is the new 'Saved Searches' in MyMM (for which you need to register - for free). You can now enter up to 20 'Saved Searches' and with a simple click automatically Search - either in the 'Search' area or the 'Lists' area (using the applicable button). The 'Saved Searches' ONLY Search using the Main Search Bar (and does NOT automatically use the filtering options at all - although once the initial Search is complete - you can then add in further filters - such as 'Latest Additions'). In the new 'Saved Searches' fields you can use the "speech marks" for precise searching - and you can add in use of the 'exclude words' function by using '-' (dash) immediately before a word that you want excluded from the search: You can use these concurrently i.e. a search for "Naval General" will come up with all the items that have the precise words 'naval general' (in any case - upper or lower), but if you added -Yangtze (with no speech marks) to the 'Saved Search' field (after "Naval General"), you will get all the 'naval general' items, but NOT those items than mention 'Yangtze' in the description. As stated you can search for your 'Saved Searches' in the 'Search' webpage, or the 'Lists' webpage - I strongly suggest checking both...
* As a reminder, the Main Search Bar (on the 'Search' and 'Lists' pages) will only provide items that contain ALL of the words entered - in any order. If you want just those items that have all the words in the precise order you need to use "speech marks". Familiarisation with the 'i' (information) notes on the 'Search' and 'Lists' pages is hugely useful. (If you want to search for many different words and find items that have ANY of those words entered in the item's description then I suggest using 'Multiple-Keyword-Filter' in the 'Filter' section.)
* I have previously mentioned that the saving of 'favourites' (in MyMM) i.e. clicking the stars, when using a mobile can be REALLY slow (up to 30 seconds for the star to turn gold). This problem has been resolved. There was never a problem with this element on a computer.
* When testing the new 'Saved Searches' element, I have found no problems at all when using on a computer. However, when using on a mobile, sometimes a refresh (pulling down on the screen for many users) is needed - to get all 'Favourites' and / or (the new) 'Saved Searches'. The 'i' (information) page has been updated in MyMM to allow for the new 'Saved Searches'.
* I hope that these changes are useful and well received. As always, I would be delighted to receive feedback.

* Due to a change in the website for 'London Medals', all of their items are now being listed on Medal Marketplace as 'Latest'. This will be automatically corrected next week.
* Due to previous issues with 'Sally Antiques', all of their items are now being listed on Medal Marketplace as 'Latest'. This will be automatically corrected next week.
* To see 'Latest' items without 'London Medals' and 'Sally Antiques', use the 'Filter by Affiliate' and 'Select All / Deselect All' check boxes. After filtering out these 2 Affiliates, this should then bring the number of new / amended items to 384.

24/03/2026:
* The 'Search' and 'Lists' webpages have been enhanced to allow the user to save 'favourites' to a new part of the website called 'MyMM'. MyMM has been newly added as an option in the main menu.
* To use the 'favourites' enhancement you will need to create a free account (which simply requires 'name', 'email address' and your own selected 'password') - verification via the email address entered is required.
* To store items to your 'favourites' in MyMM you will need to click on the 'star' that is now newly located in the description for each item shown. When the star turns a gold colour, that item is stored successfully. To cancel this item being a favourite, click the 'star' again and it will revert back to grey.
* Items that have been selected as 'favourites' will show in MyMM. You can also cancel these being favourites from the MyMM page - again by clicking the 'star'.
* The favourite items will continue to be shown in your MyMM until you delete them - even if those items are removed by the Affiliate and are not included in future Medal Marketplace updates.
* Creating an account with Medal Marketplace is not mandatory - you can continue using the website as previously, but you will not be able to store any 'favourites'.
* The maximum number of favourites is currently limited to 30 (covering the 'Search' items AND the 'Lists' items).
* MyMM also includes a new 'free-type' box for you to save any regularly used 'search strings' (specific medals, certain names, etc) - perhaps using in the 'Multiple Keyword Filter'. For example, if each week you always check for 'Smith Jones McDonald Starmer Reeves Trump' then you could enter these in the 'free-type' box, click save, and then each week just simply copy and paste this full word string across to the 'Multiple Keyword Filter' (remember - NO commas) and click 'Go'.
* The 'Privacy Notice' and the 'Terms and Conditions' have been amended to allow for the changes.
* Whilst this enhancement has been tested, there could be teething problems, so please let me know any problems that you experience.

- Regular users of Medal Marketplace (MM) will know that one of the main objectives of the website is to help with 're-unites'. To try to achieve this objective a new area of the MM website has been released. You will now see a new menu item called 'Lists'.
- The new 'Lists' webpage shows items available from Retailers who do not have a website and as such cannot have their items listed in the main 'Search' area of MM.

12/08/2025: UPDATE (of 'Filter Options' NOT 'Items'):
* I received a request to add a filter to the website whereby the user can search a number of names or numbers in one go. This option has now been successfully added to the 'Filter' part of the website (down the left hand side - below the 'Filter by Price' section). The new section is headed 'Multiple Keyword Filter'.
* In terms of what this filter does, if you check the box and enter a list of words or numbers (with NO separator i.e. no comma, no colon, nothing...) the output will provide only those items that include one or more of the words that you have entered, in the item's description. This should help if you have a list of names or numbers you like to search.
* This new filter option is different from the other options as follows:
- The main 'Search Bar' only provides those items where the 'exact phrase' entered is contained in the item description.
- The 'Filter-by Keywords' section allows a filter on specific default words, as stated, as well as 2 'user defined' keywords. You can use the slide bar to then search for items where ANY of the 'selected' words are contained in the description of an item, or where ALL of the selected words are in the description of an item (I think this part is a very powerful part of the filtering section).
* The 'i' for information pop up has been updated to allow for this change. I would recommend reading information section this from time to time to get the most out of the search / filter system.
* Along with this update on the filter, I have also made some back end (future proof) changes, so if there are any problems, please let me know and we can revert to the previous version (whilst I sort any issue out).
