- Regular users of Medal Marketplace (MM) will know that one of the main objectives of the website is to help with 're-unites'. To try to achieve this objective a new area of the MM website has been released. You will now see a new menu item called 'Lists'.
- The new 'Lists' webpage shows items available from Retailers who do not have a website and as such cannot have their items listed in the main 'Search' area of MM.
- The search and filter facilities on the new 'Lists' webpage matches that on the main 'Search' page with the exception of the 'Price' - as some of the Retailers (including the 'first-Lists-joiner') do not provide prices of items. In future, some items in this section will have prices and some will not.
- To maintain the integrity of the MM, Retailers are added to the 'Lists' page at the discretion of those running the Medal Marketplace website.
- The significant difference between the 'Lists' webpage and the 'Search' webpage is that instead of there being a 'link' to the Affiliate's website, you are provided with an email to contact the 'Lists' Retailer directly.
- It is hoped that by including this part of the MM website a wider range of items can be viewed / searched in one place.
- It is now expected that 'Lists' will be updated weekly - even if there are no new additions.
- As always, feedback greatly appreciated.

1) The current basis (text only in Search bar) - where the items shown are those that contain the phrase entered in the 'Search' bar i.e. a search for 8th foot, will list items containing this phrase, but do ALSO include, say, '88th foot', or similar.
2) The new basis (text in Search bar is inside "double speech marks") - where the items shown are those that ONLY contain the extact phrase entered in the double speech marks in the search bar i.e. a search for "8th foot" will only give items containing 8th foot (and not show 88th foot, etc.).
Capitalisation is ignored completely.

12/08/2025: UPDATE (of 'Filter Options' NOT 'Items'):
* I received a request to add a filter to the website whereby the user can search a number of names or numbers in one go. This option has now been successfully added to the 'Filter' part of the website (down the left hand side - below the 'Filter by Price' section). The new section is headed 'Multiple Keyword Filter'.
* In terms of what this filter does, if you check the box and enter a list of words or numbers (with NO separator i.e. no comma, no colon, nothing...) the output will provide only those items that include one or more of the words that you have entered, in the item's description. This should help if you have a list of names or numbers you like to search.
* This new filter option is different from the other options as follows:
- The main 'Search Bar' only provides those items where the 'exact phrase' entered is contained in the item description.
- The 'Filter-by Keywords' section allows a filter on specific default words, as stated, as well as 2 'user defined' keywords. You can use the slide bar to then search for items where ANY of the 'selected' words are contained in the description of an item, or where ALL of the selected words are in the description of an item (I think this part is a very powerful part of the filtering section).
* The 'i' for information pop up has been updated to allow for this change. I would recommend reading information section this from time to time to get the most out of the search / filter system.
* Along with this update on the filter, I have also made some back end (future proof) changes, so if there are any problems, please let me know and we can revert to the previous version (whilst I sort any issue out).

* Pleased to report that the Sort Function now enables the user to sort by 'Date Added'. This is now also the default 'sort'. (I may change this back to descending price - not sure yet.) The earliest dates entered for 'date added' is 4th April 2025 - all items with this date were added to Medal Marketplace on or before that date. All future items will have the actual date that they were added to Medal Marketplace. The dates DO NOT reflect the dates that the item may have been listed on the Affiliate's website.
* PLEASE NOTE: The 'Latest Additions' and the 'Date Added' filters show NEW items to Medal Marketplace AND ALSO include items where changes have been made by Affiliates to their items, such as amending the price, description or images.
